With the English soccer season officially over, soccer stars are swapping their soccer uniforms for vacation attire. For the biggest soccer stars, being chased by photographers while on holiday is usual, the British press love to chronicle the exploits of soccer players once they take off their soccer uniforms.
Cristiano Ronaldo has had an amazing season with Manchester United, and has gone on vacation to Italy. Still the big story back in England, as there is still speculation that he will be swapping his United soccer jersey for a Real Madrid soccer uniform next season. After Manchester United lost their Champions League title last week to Barcelona, rumors are that Cristiano is unhappy again, despite assurances to the press he is staying at Old Trafford.
Maybe it is that unhappiness that was the reason for the interesting outfit that he was photographed in the other day, which has been splashed all over the British tabloids. Cris is always a flashy dresser out of soccer uniforms, but his latest stab at cutting edge fashion went a little further than normal.
Very tight white shorts and a baby blue shirt complete with a pink baseball cap and a flower tucked behind his ear. I doubt that even Carson Kressley would approve. Very different from the man who stood, almost weeping ,at the side of the pitch in Rome last week, in his red soccer jersey.
Proving though that he is still beloved by the lads in Manchester and beyond, a national radio DJ in the UK challenged guys to send in their own pictures of themselves wearing flowers a la Ronaldo and she received hundreds of entries within the space of just a few hours. From construction workers to schoolboys they all took on the new Ronaldo look.
